Here’s to hoping this is a great week for you all. My last post reached 5,000 views. Thank you.
I’ve been reading this book on forgiveness, and let me tell you, it gets me going. Partially because it reminds me how a poor forgiver I am, and that I should probably do it a little more. Here is what it says to do:
Begin the process of forgiveness.
1. Keep no list of wrongs.
2. Pray for your antagonist rather than plot against them.
3. Hate the wrong without hating the wrongdoer.
4. Turn your attention away from what they did to you to what Jesus did for you.
Forgiving others is not just something you should say, but it’s really something you need to do to move forward. There is nothing worse than to hold this hate in your heart over something that could be rectified. Even if you have to forgive yourself, we all deserve inner peace.
I leave you with a quote from C.S. Lewis:
“God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks to us in our conscience but shouts to us in our pain.”
